  • What is Unlimited Informational/Emotional Support?

    From the signing of our contract throughout the remainder of your pregnancy and just after, feel free to call, text, or email me with any questions, concerns, or for encouragement. If I do not posses the knowledge to answer your non-medical question then I will do research and share my findings so you have the evidence based information you need at all times for informed decision making.

    In regards to medical questions, I can guide you in preparing appropriate questions to bring to your next care provider appointment if desired.

  • What can I expect at a Prenatal visit?

    Prenatal visits are about 1-3 hours in length per visit. You can expect us to go over and sign the contract first. On top of getting to know you and your partner (should you have one), prenatal visits can consist of (but are not limited to) any of the following:

    - Completing Client Intake Forms

    - Discussing your ideal birth experience

    - Discussing and working through any fears or anxieties (you or your partners)

    - Discussing and practicing comfort techniques

    - Running through the stages and phases of labor 

    - Creating a birth and/or postpartum plan

    - Providing light massage to an area of stress such as the neck/shoulders/back or feet, with the use of essential oils if desired

  • What can I expect from my Doula at my labor and delivery?

    Ways I can support you in labor include (but are not limited to) any of the following:

    - Consistent Emotional Support throughout (Holding space for you)

    - Suggesting and assisting with position changes

    - Massage/Counter Pressure through contractions

    - Assisting with the use of a TENS machine

    - Birthing ball/Peanut ball, and Birthing Bar use

    - Providing informational resources to assist in informed decision making when needed, if requested

    - Creating a calming environment (lights, curtains, music, essential oils, etc)

    - Water therapy (bath, shower)

    - Assisting with breathing techniques

    - Hydrating and feeding birther

    - Using Essential Oils aromatically and/or topically should you agree to them at the time of intended use

    - Anything else you feel will help you have the positive birth experience you desire

    - Breastfeeding Support/Feeding Support of newborn’s first feeding

    - Helping you and your partner (should you have one) adjust, decompress and get settled immediately postpartum

  • What can I expect at a Postpartum care visit?

    The Postpartum Care visit is about 1-3 hours in length. This visit to be scheduled within 24 hours to 7 days of the birth. Postpartum care visits can consist of (but is not limited to) any of the following:

    - Checking on breastfeeding/feeding progress

    - Discussing questions or concerns

    - Debriefing after the birth

    - Assisting with some light housework and tidying

    - Preparing a meal (should you want help with that)

    - Caring for baby while you shower or rest/nap

    - Assisting with anything you feel will help you settle in and feel supported in the postpartum period

    - Providing light massage to an area of stress such as the neck/shoulders/back

    or feet, with the use of essential oils if desired

    - Using Essential Oils aromatically and/or topically should you agree to them at the time of intended use

  • Do you offer payment plans or discounts?

    Yes, for my Birth Doula Packages…

    Payment Plan:

    50% non-refundable deposit is due upon signing the contract (this is to protect my business and secure your spot in my schedule)

    50% due within 8 weeks of signing or by 36 weeks gestation, whichever comes first.

    In Full:

    I offer a 5% Discount if you pay in-full upon signing the contract. 50% of the original fee amount will remain non-refundable. This discount does not apply to contracts signed where the client is beyond 36 weeks gestation.

    Other:

    I understand that no two clients or birthing journey’s are the same. On occasion, and at my own discretion I offer payment options that differ from the two listed above, they can include but are not limited to, completely free services, a more spread out payment plan, a sliding scale (pay what you can with a minimum declared at the time of signing) or a trade of goods or services.

    10% Discount on ALL services for service men/women both active or retired, proof of service preferred.
